Don Jose de Ortega Chapter Invites You to Attend Wreaths Across America
In Commemoration of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country, you are invited to attend a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Los Angeles National Cemetery on December 12, 2009, at 9:00 a.m.
Seven wreaths will be presented honoring the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and POW/MIA. Over 285 State and National Cemeteries across the country will simultaneously remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom.
Jane Stauss, Treasurer, of Don Jose de Ortega Chapter, is the Location Leader for the Los Angeles National Cemetery. The cemetery is located just north of Wilshire Blvd on Sepulveda Blvd. in Westwood.
We welcome you and your friends or your organization to participate by your attendance or by bringing a wreath or two or more to place on a veteran's grave. This year the Patriot Guard Riders will have a "Once Around" the cemetery tour to honor the 17 Medal of Honor winners buried there.
For more information about this event, please contact Jane Stauss or visit the Wreaths Across America web site.
