Constitution Week—2013

· Constitution Week Proclamations were provided by the cities of Calabasas and LA following letters to 3 city mayors requesting proclamations or some form of Constitution Day activity.  Calabasas presented the proclamation at he Council meeting September 11, Patriot’s Day.

               o   Calabasas

               o   Hidden Hills

               o   Los Angeles

· Three schools were contacted and provided posters and information – Justice Street, Pomelo and Chaparral. 

· Two libraries created Constitution Week displays of relative books and other materials

               o   Calabasas—Barbara Lockwood, Librarian

               o   Platt Branch—Janet Gast, Librarian

· A brief article was prepared and distributed to members to insert if possible in newsletters they may be associated with.  One Newsletter posted the article. 

               o   Article was shared with Job Winslow Chapter in MI for their use in Constitution Week activities.
