Fernanda Maria Chapter Invites Volunteers to Operation Gratitude

The Daughters of the Fernanda Maria Chapter, along with members of the Juan Crespi Society C.A.R., invite you to attend their meeting on May 5, 2008:

Where: Operation Gratitude, California Army National Guard,
17330 Victory Blvd. (Victory Blvd. at Louise Ave.), Van Nuys

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

What to Bring:

• Your friends and family to volunteer (no children under 12)
  
• Wish List items and personal letters
  
• Your lunch (water will be provided). Picnic benches are available outside.

As you may know, Lucas Borncamp, son of District VIII C.A.R. Committee Representative and Fernanda Maria Chapter member Sharman Borncamp, is the new State President-Elect of the California Society C.A.R., and will be installed at the N.S.C.A.R. National Convention this weekend.

Lucas' theme for the next year is "Honor Their Sacrifices," and he has selected Operation Gratitude as his project. Look for information about his project to be posted on the C.S.S.C.A.R. web site in the next few weeks.
