DAR Museum Period Rooms Audio Tour Available at iTunes

If you're going to Continental Congress next month, don't forget your iPod!

An audio tour of the DAR Museum Period Rooms is available for free download from iTunes.

Listeners are guided from room to room with 30 short podcasts: each a 30 second - 1 minute talk describing the important contents of the rooms and a bit of history about some of the artifacts.

If you don't already have iTunes installed on your computer, go to the Apple web site to download this free software.

To find the Museum tour podcasts, open your iTunes software and select "iTunes Store" from the left menu. Type "DAR Podcast" in the search box in the upper right corner.

You can also download the podcasts directly from the DAR web site in a single ZIP file.

You don't have to have an iPod to listen to the podcasts on your computer, but you will need one (or some type of MP3 player) to hear them in the Museum. If you don't own or have access to an MP3 device, the Museum Gift Shop has them for rent for a nominal fee.

One more tip: The "Today's DAR" promotional video which was released last summer is also available for download from iTunes. If you haven't seen this video or had a chance to purchase a copy from the DAR Store, here's your chance to see it for free!
