Alliklik Chapter Members joined the Blue Star Mothers in honoring our veterans this holiday season by decorating the gigantic tree in the center of the Newhall Veterans Memorial Park. December 13, 2008 the tree lighting ceremony took place. Local JRROTC Unit from Valencia High School presented colors and we were serenaded by a wonderful choir dressed in heritage holiday garb.
Alliklik Chapter members, Tammy Collier and Sharon Natoli made tree ornaments honoring chapter members’ Revolutionary War Patriot. Tree decorating was done in conjunction with the Blue Star Mothers of Santa Clarita on the Friday before the tree lighting ceremony.
Despite the freezing cold, Sharon Natoli, Sheryl Kolt, Rose Ann Thomas, and Tammy Collier celebrate the honoring of our veterans, past and present!
