Word has just been received that the Alliklik Chapter is again mourning the loss of a Chapter member. Madelle Pederson, who has been a DAR member since 1980, passed away on August 19, 2009. She served the chapter as Chairman of Service for Veteran Patients from 1988-1996 and was also Chairman of Manual for Citizenship and Literacy Challenge during her years of membership. Her services will be today, August 24th, at Eternal Valley, Newhall, California. Please remember her family and fellow chapter Daughters in your prayers at this sad time. Monday, August 24, 2009
