Regent Grace Munro with guest speaker Norm Levy
Norm Levy Shares the Constitution with
the Chatsworth Chapter
We
were honored to have Professor Norm Levy who was named in Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers, 1998, 2004, 2006, share with us some of his thoughts on
the writers of the Constitution at our September meeting.
His
narration made history come alive. The ladies were able to feel what it must
have been like in the heat of summer in Philadelphia. Our forefathers
sacrificed almost 100 days to find a path for this country to follow. Some of
the key leaders at this meeting included George Washington, James Madison and
Roger Sherman. Professor Levy had us pull our chairs in a semicircle around him
so we could enjoy his re-telling of that hot summer so many years ago. The questions the sisters asked left us all
in deep thought regarding the beginning of our country and the fight to get the
states to ratify the Constitution.
