The Debutante Presentation was established by the California State Society in 1964 to encourage membership in the DAR. The event serves to introduce young women who are eligible to become DAR Junior Members to members of the California State Society.Always a highlight of the annual State Conference, the 2008 Debutante Presentation promises to be an extra special one — the conference will be the California State Society’s 100th, and our own Linda Calvin, NSDAR President General, may join State Regent Anne D. Lampman on the platform to greet the debutantes as they are presented.
The Debutante Presentation will take place Saturday evening, March 29, 2008.
A participant in the Debutante Presentation must meet the following requirements:
To participate in the 2008 Debutante Presentation, names and addresses of prospective debutantes must be submitted by November 1, 2007, to Debutante Presentation Chairman Jan Landt. Names may be submitted by DAR members or chapters, C.A.R. senior leaders, or family members.
Invitations and complete information regarding costs, meal reservations, attire, and deadlines will be sent to prospective debutantes shortly after the November 1st deadline.
