If you missed the 2nd Annual "Honoring Lady Veterans" Tea , you missed a lovely time.Sponsored by our own Chatsworth and San Fernando Valley Chapters, the Tea was held at the Sepulveda VA on Saturday, November 3, 2007.
I don't know what the official attendance count was, but it looked to me like there were at least 60+ people - almost all of whom were women veterans. Several ladies stood to be recognized as WWII veterans, and they looked GOOD!
There were a few of us DAR party-crashers in attendance, but we were humbled by the amazing lady vets.
I won't bore you with a long-winded description of the day.
Instead, I'd rather show you. Please visit this slideshow to see what transpired.
Many thanks to the regents of the Chatsworth and San Fernando Valley Chapters, Julie Stranges and Deirdra Beller, respectively, and the hard-working VAVS ladies who volunteered their time and efforts to make this a special day for some terrific women.
