Junior American Citizens (JAC) Contest Information

This reminder is a reminder that the JAC contest entries are due to our State Committee Chairman, our District’s own Pamela Meyers, no later than Tuesday, January 29, 2008.

Complete information on the contests and the forms required for submission are available at the National website: http://members.dar.org/committees/jac/guidelines.htm

If your chapter has an active C.A.R. society, this would be a great project for the children.

There are group and individual contests: Poster design, stamp design, banner, photographic essay, community service, poem or short story. These entries do not have to come from a Junior American Citizens Club, but all youth, aged pre-school through 12th grade, can find the contest that matches their interests and are within the contest requirements.

This year’s National Theme is “America’s Everyday Heroes.” Detailed information is available on the NSDAR website on the forms listed for the Contests.

Please encourage your committee chairman to submit entries to Pam by January 29th. You may contact me if you have any questions by email or phone (661-942-2948).

Judy Hatcher,
District VIII JAC Committee Representative
