Liberty Cart Dedication at Sepulveda V.A.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2008, my daughter and I attended the Dedication Ceremony for a new Liberty Cart presented to the Sepulveda V.A.

We had a long, 3-hour drive (each way!), so we missed some of the morning's festivities, but we did have a good time celebrating as the Liberty Cart was presented.

Below are a few scenes from our day:

We were greeted in the parking lot by this guy. Julie says they're all over the place (??). We didn't stop to say hello.

Marianne Davis led the dedication ceremony.

Barbara Ide, Kathy Bickers, and a prospective member from the Don Jose de Ortega Chapter enjoy the festivities.

State Regent Anne Lampman presents the keys.

The first passenger gets on board.

They're off on the inaugural ride!

The amazing coffee cart ladies, with State Regent Anne Lampman, and Miss San Fernando Valley (the one on the far left, in the crown).

My daughter and I got our turn on the cart!

State Treasurer Carol Jackson smiles with Julie Stranges.

Shouldn't he be facing forward??

The Liberty Cart is greatly appreciated by the patients and staff of the Sepulveda V.A. Many thanks to the ladies of the Hollywood Chapter for their generous donation!
