District VIII: New Officers Installed at May Meeting

On May 13, 2008, members of District VIII met at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City to greet the new State Officers-Elect for 2008-2010. State Regent-Elect Leonora Branca introduced her board members and told of her projects for the next two years.

District Chaplain Mary Brown conducted the Memorial Service for District VIII Daughters. Regents honored their deceased daughters with a white rose as the names were read.

Following the Memorial Service, District VIII held it's election, and new officers were elected and installed.

A silent auction was held, raising over $200 for District VIII projects. Ticket sales for the voicing of the Project Patriot pin raised $337 (minus the cost of the pin). Good job ladies!

Antelope Valley Chapter member Ramona McCaslin was the lucky recipient of the Project Patriot pin.

Below are a few images from the day.

We had great attendance and a lovely view from the Waterfall Room.
