Tomo-Kahni Chapter Honors New C.A.R. Members

On Saturday, May 3, 2008, the Tomo-Kahni Chapter held its annual meeting during which new chapter officers were installed.

Chaplain Sandra Orozco was assisted by State Regent Anne Lampman in a ceremony welcoming Kaylee Lambert, 11, and Jack Lambert, 8, into C.A.R., and presented each child with a C.A.R. recognition pin.

Kaylee and Jack are the daughter and son of Jennie Jeffus, and grandchildren of Sondra Jeffus, both members of the Tomo-Kahni Chapter. The children are new members of the Captain Matthew Ramsay Society C.A.R.

Kaylee and Jack have already been a huge help to the Tomo-Kahni Chapter. They have made hundreds of holiday cards for residents of California Veterans Home in Barstow, and have assisted the DAR Service for Veterans committee in many ways. They have also helped at information booths at community events.
